Encuentro del proyecto ENTRAP

Durante el 10 y 11 de abril, tuvo lugar en el Centro Universitario de la Guardia Civil (CUGC) de Aranjuez el encuentro del proyecto ENTRAP del programa H2020-SEC-2016-2017, seguridad (SEC-11-FCT-2016) de la Comisión Europea

El CUGC apoyó la iniciativa de la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) para acoger durante una semana a un grupo de investigadores de diversos ámbitos: civil, empresa, universidad, militar y fuerzas de seguridad europeas, incluida la Guardia Civil.

El proyecto ENTRAP establece una metodología para evaluar los avances técnicos ya producidos por los esfuerzos de investigación y desarrollo realizados a nivel europeo durante las últimas décadas. El enfoque del proyecto es para los artefactos explosivos improvisados (IED). El objetivo general es comprender y evaluar la efectividad de las capacidades técnicas emergentes (a lo largo de toda la línea de tiempo de la acción terrorista) y compararlas con las herramientas de contraataque actualmente disponibles para detectar y prevenir los ataques terroristas con IED. Esto dará una estimación considerada de su eficiencia que se puede validar y probar en casos históricos o escenarios de ataque terrorista actuales.

El objetivo principal del proyecto es desarrollar evaluaciones imparciales de la efectividad de las herramientas de actuación contra terrorista para comprender mejor cómo prevenir los ataques de IED y cómo reaccionar ante ellos.

En ENTRAP se adaptarán y aplicarán los métodos cualitativos y cuantitativos de herramientas de investigación operativa OR. Al aplicar metodologías innovadoras OR para identificar áreas débiles en la actual respuesta contra terrorista desde la planificación, preparación y ejecución de ataques terroristas, para identificar y priorizar las mejoras inmediatas y futuras.
El consorcio ENTRAP está formado por organizaciones muy involucradas dentro del área de investigación de la seguridad de explosivos. El consorcio también está bien representado por los operadores tácticos antiterroristas y contra IED (civiles y militares). Su experiencia abarca desde operaciones policiales hasta procedimientos activos para prevenir la amenaza de IED.

La complejidad y la ambición del trabajo en el proyecto requieren la cooperación entre varios profesionales en Europa (por socios de nueve países):
